Events: building community
Weekend Coffee Roasters cares about our communities – those we live in, work and visit. We enjoy bringing families, friends, neighbors and colleagues together in a sense of community and camaraderie.
Volunteer with us!
Each year we actively give back to causes near and dear to our hearts by organizing volunteers for charity events that promote health, environmental advocacy and literacy awareness. Two of the non-profits we support are: Save Our Shores was selected by Don, whose affinity for the beach grew from being raised in a coffee-drinking military family usually stationed near the ocean. Stephanie chose Sacramento-based BWHWC because of their mission to empower Black women, in our community, to live optimally healthy lives.
We also support non-profit organizations via in kind donations.

Open House + charity support
Hosting an open house at our Roasting headquarters is one way we empower a sense of community. A small conversation often leads to bigger conversations. When individuals talk and share ideas, they find common interests and feel a sense of belonging. Each year we host an open house at our roasting headquarters to spark conversations among our friends and families. Along with the open house, we coordinate an activity in support of a local charity or school.

Seabright Beach Cleanup in Santa Cruz went very well! Just a few hours of time to clean a beach is more than worth it!

Intercultural Festival
Santa Clara County Intercultural Festival at SJSU (San Jose State University). We had the pleasure of being one of the vendors at this years Intercultural Festival.
There were dancers from around the area performing cultural dances, fraternities and singers from SJSU. Take a look at a few of the pictures we took. This was an entertaining event and a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Sunny Cove Beach Cleanup
Sunny Cove Beach in Santa Cruz, California was the site for our beach cleanup this past weekend. There were lots of people who came to clean the beach and by the time we left it was spotless! The cleanup was organized by Save Our Shores a nonprofit marine conservation organization in Santa Cruz, California.
